Job summary

SC Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Disabilities (BHDD) invites applications for a Registered Nurse, Non-Institutional at the Greater Greenville Mental Health Center. The role focuses on direct patient care for adults and ACT clients with chronic mental illness, including assessments, medication monitoring and patient education.

Responsibilities include documenting clinical services, collaborating with a multi-disciplinary team, home visits as needed, and ensuring compliance

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
• Licensure as a registered nurse by the SC Board of Nursing.
• Nursing license must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
• Bilingual abilities in English and Spanish (or another language) are a plus.
• Be able to collaborate with a multi-disciplinary health team.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing services to adult patients and ACT patients who are chronically mentally ill.
• Perform nursing assessment, medication monitoring, administration, and patient/family teaching.
• Conduct home visits as needed and referrals to other agencies.
• Complete documentation in accordance with State/Center/Quality Assurance standards.
• Participate in treatment teams and program development; perform drug screenings as scheduled.
