NHS Fife’s Community Mental Health Nursing Service is seeking two motivated mental health nurses to join the Community Mental Health Teams in Glenrothes and North East Fife. The posts involve working within a multidisciplinary team to deliver assessment, care planning, and treatment for adults with complex mental health needs, in both virtual and face-to-face settings.

You will receive a comprehensive induction, ongoing professional development, and mentorship.

Qualifications

• Registered Mental Nurse with experience in adult mental health

Job description

NHS Fife’s Community Mental Health Nursing Service is seeking two motivated mental health nurses for the Community Mental Health Teams in Glenrothes and North East Fife.

Fife’s CMHT’s are undergoing innovative changes to the care and treatment for community-based secondary care patients. We are developing a comprehensive complex-trauma and personality disorder pathway in which we can deliver a skills-based approach through; Safe and Able to Cope, Decider Skills, Emotional Resources Group and are planning the roll-out of Structured Clinical Management which will complete the pathway. Another significant development is the creation of Physical Healthcare Clinics offering: Clozapine, Lithium, and High Dose Monitoring as well as ADHD and Eating Disorder health checks.

We have embraced new technological approaches in the delivery of these, as well as continuing to deliver face to face interventions. The CMHT’s continue to provide quality evidence-based interventions for those experiencing major mental illness and disorder.

The posts is based within our Glenrothes CMHT and North East Fife CMHT based in either Dovecot Clinic and Weston Day Hospital. The diverse environmental and geographic features of the area really does mean that no two days are the same, where each day brings its’ own exciting challenges. Our CMHT’s use a multi-disciplinary assessment clinic that enables close professional MDT working

Applications for this post are invited from experienced RMN’s, able to demonstrate knowledge and experience of working with adults presenting with a range of mental health problems as well as a sound understanding of their physical health needs that can include prescribed treatment. As an enthusiastic mental health nurse you will join this service and will work within a multi-disciplinary team committed to partnership working with strong links to other secondary care and community services.

The successful applicant will have experience of team working, problem solving, flexibility, high-level communication skills, continuing personal development and change management. The post holder will have day to day responsibility for managing their workload; assessment, care planning, evaluation and delivery of care to patients presenting with a variety of mental health problems in both virtual and face to face settings.

You will receive a comprehensive induction to the service with an identified mentor who will provide clinical/caseload supervision and support with your educational development.
