Job summary

Girl Scouts of Michigan Shore to Shore is seeking a Community Membership Manager for the Greater Grand Rapids territory. This field sales role lets you own your pipeline, recruit members, and partner with schools, faith communities, and civic groups to grow membership and retention.

Based in Grand Rapids with regular travel across Kent and Ionia, you will manage relationships with volunteers, track metrics, and support service units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of lived and professional experience.
• Proven track record in sales, recruitment, fundraising, or account management with measurable results.
• Strong ability to build rapport and close commitments in diverse communities.
• Excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
• Comfort working with youth organizations and volunteers; experience preferred.
• Willingness to travel within Kent and Ionia counties, and work evenings/weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

• Own a weekly cadence of community recruitment events at schools, faith groups, and civic organizations.
• Drive prospects from first contact through membership with disciplined follow-up.
• Tell the Girl Scout story with energy and credibility to groups of all sizes.
• Build and deepen relationships with administrators, faith leaders, and community partners.
• Coordinate with council colleagues to connect new members to troop opportunities quickly.
