Job summary

YES Communities is seeking a seasoned Community Manager in Columbia, SC to lead daily operations, oversee staff, and ensure high occupancy across our neighborhoods. You will handle rent collection, vendor relations, and resident communication while protecting assets and ensuring safety and compliance.

In this role, you will recruit and coach a team, run regular meetings, manage marketing and turnover, and coordinate events that foster a positive community culture.

Qualifications

• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Strong conflict resolution and leadership abilities.
• Experience leading teams and managing performance.
• Proficiency in MS Office and property management software.
• Ability to adapt to evolving community needs.
• Must obtain or transfer state licensing within 90 days where applicable.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily community operations including evictions, collections, resident relations, budget maintenance, and asset protection.
• Recruit, train, and develop team members; conduct regular leadership meetings.
• Oversee marketing, leasing, and turnover to ensure high occupancy.
• Build relationships with vendors and local authorities to support community goals.
• Plan events and coordinate with residents to maintain a positive environment.
• Travel to company meetings and trainings as required.
• Coordinate home delivery/setup and warranty follow-up with manufacturers.
