Job Summary

The Community Manager supervises and manages the daily operations of the apartment community, ensuring compliance with company policies, regulations, and maintaining a well-managed, maintained property.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, hire, train, and support staff, fostering teamwork and a harmonious environment.
• Handle administrative tasks such as performance evaluations, salary reviews, and personnel records.
• Manage community transactions, prepare budgets, and ensure timely rent collection.
• Oversee leasing activities, including signing leases, renewals, and handling evictions.
• Maintain resident files and ensure community safety, cleanliness, and maintenance.
• Handle emergencies, inspections, and oversee outside contractors.
• Develop and enforce community policies and rules.

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years property management experience.
• Fair Housing certification before interacting with prospects or residents.
• Proficiency in PC skills, Microsoft Office, and community management software.
• Knowledge of OSHA laws and regulations.
• Ability to work evenings and weekends, present professionally, and pass a drug test.

Education

• College degree preferred.
• CAM or ARM certification preferred.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, climb stairs, and lift up to 30 lbs.
• Ability to walk the property in various weather conditions.
