Job summary

TREK Development Group in Pittsburgh is seeking a Community Manager for The Reed, a 123-unit community. The role oversees financial, physical and operational aspects, activation of the Hospitality Covenant, and on-site team management to maximize occupancy and cash flow.

The position requires a college degree or equivalent progression in property management or hospitality with 3+ years in the field, plus knowledge of budget and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• College degree or 5+ years progressive career in Property Management, Hospitality or Retail.
• 3+ years experience in Property Management, Hospitality or Retail.
• Experience managing tax credit properties and low-income residents preferred.
• Industry designations (COS, LIHTC, ARM, CPMC) preferred.
• Real Estate License preferred or required within the first year.

Responsibilities

• Acting as the driving force of the Hospitality Covenant and leading staff and residents.
• Supervising on-site team and optimizing operations to reduce overtime.
• Coordinating property upkeep, inspections, and maintenance tasks.
• Building relationships with residents and encouraging co-investment.
• Reviewing monthly budgets and general ledger for timely coding.
• Meeting budgeted revenue and cash flow targets; handling accruals.
• Managing legal proceedings for non-rent payments and evictions.
• Applying annual rent increases per program guidelines.
• Leasing units to maintain occupancy at 98%+.
• Ensuring compliance with Fair Housing Marketing Plans and regulatory requirements.
• Meeting HQS and REAC standards; staying updated on affordable programs.
• Updating LEP and LAP plans; creating energy conservation plans.
• Providing incident reporting and risk management measures.
• Maintaining resident and vendor files per TREK and regulatory standards.
