Job summary

TREK Development Group in Pittsburgh seeks a Community Manager for The Reed (123 units). You will oversee financial, physical, and operational aspects, drive occupancy and revenue, and lead the on-site team under the Hospitality Covenant.

The role requires 5+ years in property management or related fields, with strong budgeting and staff leadership. Knowledge of tax credit properties and Fair Housing is a plus; RealPage experience is valued. Competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• College degree in a related field or 5+ years in Property Management, Hotel, Hospitality or Retail.
• 3+ years of experience in Property Management, Hotel, Hospitality or Retail.
• Experience managing tax credit properties and serving low-income residents preferred.
• Industry designations (COS, LIHTC, ARM, CPMC) preferred.
• Certification within 6 months of hire to meet site needs.
• Minimum supervision of 2 staff members; hiring, performance management, training.
• Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and RealPage experience required.
• Real Estate License preferred or required within the first year.
• Knowledge of Federal Fair Housing laws is a plus.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
• Background checks and child abuse clearances required.
• Experience with recertifications is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive Hospitality Covenant implementation and lead staff and residents accountability.
• Supervise on-site team; foster ideas to reduce overtime and improve efficiency.
• Coordinate property upkeep, inspections, janitorial tasks and safety maintenance.
• Build positive resident relationships and support resident-led initiatives.
• Review budget reports and GL; ensure timely coding and adjustments.
• Meet budgeted revenue, expenses and cash flow; address variances with plans.
• Manage eviction processes and housing court matters with TREK's attorney.
• Apply annual rent increases per program guidelines.
• Lease units in line with tenant selection or A&O plan to sustain 98%+ occupancy.
• Ensure compliance with Fair Housing, funding program requirements and regulations.
• Meet HQS/REAC standards; stay current on affordable programs.
• Update LEP and LAP plans; support compliance initiatives.
• Develop energy conservation plans; report incidents and manage risk.
