Job summary

Valiant Residential is seeking a Community Manager to supervise day-to-day operations of the apartment community, implement company policies, and ensure a well-managed building in compliance with regulations and investors.

The role requires leadership in leasing, budgeting, risk management, and staff development, with a focus on resident satisfaction and regulatory compliance. A CAM/ARM and Fair Housing certification are preferred, with English fluency and Spanish a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3+ years of property management experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication in English; bilingual Spanish a plus.
• Fair Housing certification required before interaction with prospects or residents.
• College degree preferred; CAM/ARM certifications preferred.
• OSHA knowledge; ability to work evenings and weekends; ability to pass a drug test.

Responsibilities

• Screen, hire, orient, and train new personnel per company directives.
• Support staff to promote teamwork and maintain a harmonious environment; manage performance evals and time sheets.
• Maintain rent rolls, delinquency reports, move-ins/move-outs, accounts payable, and office supplies.
• Prepare annual budgets and ensure rents/late fees are posted and collected.
• Review and code invoices; make daily bank deposits; monitor occupancy and leasing performance.
• Oversee leasing staff; pursue lease renewals and handle evictions; ensure compliance with laws.
• Maintain resident files, unit make-readies, and common areas; manage emergencies and risk procedures.
