Job summary

Dominium seeks a Community Manager for Highland Hills in Dallas, TX. You will oversee day-to-day property operations, maximize occupancy, ensure curb appeal, and maintain resident satisfaction across a 250-unit community.

You will supervise on-site staff, manage budgets and purchasing, coordinate leasing, and ensure compliance with housing programs. Strong leadership and communication are essential, with familiarity in Yardi preferred.

Qualifications

  • 2-year degree (4-year degree preferred) in a related field or equivalent combinations of education and experience.
  • Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Certified Occupancy Specialist (COS), Resident Apartment Manager (RAM) or similar designation preferred.
  • Three years of multifamily property management experience required; tax credit experience preferred.
  • Accounting and administrative background preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Yardi experience preferred.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (English) and ability to speak in front of groups. Second language a plus.
  • Must be reliable and have exceptional time management and organizational skills.
  • Must be able to think independently, work with minimal supervision, and coach, mentor and manage others.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily property operations and ensure curb appeal and cleanliness.
  • Meet with staff on occupancy goals, renewals, and training; manage performance reviews.
  • Foster resident relations and address retention and issue resolution.
  • Manage budgeting, purchasing, and adherence to accounting directives.
  • Collect rent and enforce payments; coordinate evictions per policy.
  • Oversee move-ins/outs and inspect units; review move-out charges.
  • Process screening per housing programs (Section 8, Vouchers, etc.).
  • Ensure compliance with laws and audit remediation; maintain records and reports.
  • Respond to internet leads and coordinate with Marketing.
  • Supervise contractors; ensure quality work and contract compliance.
  • Stay current on federal/state/local housing laws.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
