Job summary

Midwest Health, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance role to oversee repairs, grounds, and building upkeep for the Community. The position requires ensuring safety, proper operation of electrical/plumbing systems, and timely reporting of incidents.

Responsibilities include conducting fire drills, maintaining equipment, and remaining available 24/7 for emergencies while following state and federal regulations and Residents' Rights guidelines.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
• Must be able to work beyond normal hours.
• Must be able to assist in evacuation of residents during emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Comply with the Community's personnel, safety, and corporate policies and procedures.
• Report witnessed or reported allegations of resident abuse/neglect immediately to the Executive Director, RCC or Unit Manager.
• Maintain the confidentiality of all resident and family information.
• Report to work on time and as scheduled.
• Maintain community grounds in an orderly fashion; keep sidewalks and drives free of hazards and debris.
• Maintain the building including painting, repairs to tiles, furniture, locks, baseboards, trim, windows, etc.
• Ensure electrical systems and appliances are in good working order; plumbing in good repair.
• Organize fire drills and ensure fire safety equipment is inspected regularly.
• Maintain community equipment (washers, dryers, boilers, HVAC, etc.).
• Assure 24-hour availability of maintenance emergencies.
• Ensure compliance with State and Federal regulations and Residents' Rights.
