Job summary

RHP Properties is seeking a Maintenance Technician for the Sherman Oaks community in Jackson, MI. The role covers general grounds maintenance and basic repairs to homes, for a 40-hour work week.

You will perform maintenance to keep homes and community areas in good condition, handle work orders, and interact courteously with residents and staff. The job requires ability to lift, operate tools, and meet safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid operator’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and grounds are in proper condition.
• Execute work orders and report status to Community Manager.
• Promote courteous, attentive interaction with residents and staff.
• Identify deficiencies and take action with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain grounds, plant, weed, mulch, trim shrubs, and perform lawn care.
• Remove garbage from community grounds and resident sites as needed.
• Operate snow removal equipment as applicable.
• Maintain inventories of maintenance equipment and supplies.
• Comply with health and safety laws to protect residents and staff.
• Remain available for on-call duties and participate in refurbishing homes.
• Repair and maintain community water and sewer lines.
