Job summary

RHP Properties, Inc. in Brighton, MI seeks a Maintenance Technician for its Brighton Village community. The role covers general grounds and lawn maintenance and basic repairs to homes owned by the community, structured as a full‑time, 40‑hour weekly position.

You will perform maintenance to keep homes and common areas in good condition, handle work orders, and interact with residents professionally. Compensation includes medical, dental, vision, PTO/holidays, life insurance, and 401(k).

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience.
• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, appliances, HVAC, and carpentry.
• May need to provide own tools.
• Ability to lift up to 75 pounds.
• Ability to operate maintenance equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance to ensure homes and community areas are in proper condition.
• Execute assigned work orders and report status to the Community Manager timely and efficiently.
• Promote goodwill by handling all contacts with residents and visitors with courtesy.
• Identify deficiencies and take action with Community Manager approval.
• Maintain grounds: weed control, landscaping, mulching, shrubs trimming, and tree limb removal.
