Job summary

Viability is hiring a Community Living Specialist 1 in Connecticut to support individuals with disabilities toward greater independence. The role emphasizes daily living skills, safety, and community integration in a residential setting.

Full-time and part-time shifts are available, with a $500 sign-on bonus and a pay rate of $23.84 per hour. Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience and a valid driver’s license to transport participants in their own vehicle.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of experience with working with adults with disabilities, living on their own in the community.
• Ability to transport members to do community activities needed to sustain an independent lifestyle.
• Ability to use technology.
• Ability to work with a team, to provide the best support for the members in the home.
• Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record and a reliable vehicle.
• Must be willing to transport individuals in your own vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with disabilities in daily living skills to achieve greater independence.
• Support individuals to make positive changes in their lives in alignment with the organization’s mission and values.
• Provide direct care and support in home, residential care, day program, and human services contexts.
