Job summary

Moravian Manor Communities in Lititz, PA, is seeking a Community Life Coordinator to join the Resident Services/Activities team and promote a vibrant life for residents. This full-time role is 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday, with evenings, weekends, and mornings as needed for events.

Responsibilities include planning events for independent living residents, coordinating programs, liaising with committees, and managing communications and logistics.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years' experience with seniors, event planning or hospitality.
• Strong resource management and communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred and computer proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement daily, weekly, and monthly events for residents.
• Coordinate programs for independent living residents and attend trips.
• Liaise with Community Life committees and meetings for event planning.
• Handle logistics: reservations, budgeting, billing, and transportation.
• Create communications using Pursuits magazine and other channels.
• Utilize resident engagement software to manage events and reservations.
• Coordinate Community Connection Gatherings and wellness programs.
• Participate in Campus-Wide Events Committee and seasonal celebrations.

Moravian Manor Communities, located in the charming town of Lititz, PA, is a respected not-for-profit senior living community with a 50-year tradition of serving older adults. We are currently seeking an experienced Community Life Coordinator to join our dedicated Resident Services/Activities team and help promote a vibrant life environment for our residential living residents at Moravian Manor Communities.

This full-time opportunity offers competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and a 40 hours per week, Monday-Friday schedule. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the department and events planned. Flexibility is a must to work evenings, weekends and mornings when necessary.

Responsibilities of a Community Life Coordinator

• Plans and implements daily, weekly, and monthly events, trips, and activities to encourage socialization and recreation that meet the needs and requirements of residents at Moravian Manor Communities.
• Plans, organizes, and coordinates programs for the independent living residents, including attending trips and events/activities.
• Serves as a liaison and attends Community Life committee(s) and group(s) meetings to assist with planning and implementation of their events
• Handles logistics to make events possible, such as making reservations, advertising, working within budgets, coordinating billing, and coordinating transportation with the Transportation Department.
• Responsible for creating and sending out communications, using various methods, including monthly Pursuits magazine, to all Residential Living residents and staff.
• Responsible for utilization of resident engagement software to manage events, trips, activities, and reservations.
• Coordinating Community Connection Gatherings and planning/arranging wellness and other informational education programs.
• Participates in Campus-Wide Events Committee.
• Coordinates residential living Summer Celebration event and the residential living Holiday meal event.

Requirements and Qualifications of a Community Life Coordinator

• 3-5 years' experience working with seniors, event planning or in the hospitality industry.
• Excellent resource management, computer, record keeping, interpersonal, decision making, verbal and written communication skills.
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Must have basic knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Office software and have the ability to adapt to new software and be willing to continue with additional department-specific computer training.
