Library Systems & Services Llc in Garden City, KS is seeking a Library Associate 3 to lead library programs, coordinate volunteers, and provide service at the circulation desk.

The role includes planning programs for children aged 0–5, assisting with large events, participating in outreach to daycares and schools, and helping patrons with holds, loans, and account questions.

Excellent communication, accuracy with databases, and a willingness to work evenings and weekends are essential.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Library experience preferred.
• Proficiency with library systems and databases.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal.
• Multilingual speaking is a plus.
• MS Office suite including Excel, Word and PowerPoint is desired.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ability to work a regular schedule that may include days, evenings and weekends.
• Reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Plan, implement and promote programming activities.
• Plan, implement and promote programs for young children (0-5) and assist with large events.
• Participate in off-site outreach services (Daycares, StoryWalk, Schools, etc).
• Assist patrons with holds, loans, fines, and account questions.
• Provide tours and greet patrons at the circulation desk.
• Enforce library rules and patron privacy.
