Job summary

High Plains Library District in Mead, Colorado is seeking a part-time Library Assistant to answer patron requests, assist with self-check and library technology, and help plan and conduct programs. This role supports patron services across circulation, technology instruction, in-branch programming, and collection maintenance, under supervision of the Patron Services Supervisor.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s Degree and about one year of related experience; fluency in reading/writing Spanish

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• One year of related library or customer-service experience.
• Spanish reading/writing fluency preferred.

Responsibilities

• Patron assistance and information services; guide catalog and databases.
• Assists with circulation activities including check-out, holds, and fines.
• Technology instruction and help with library devices.
• In-branch programming development and delivery assistance.
• Collection maintenance and notification of gaps in holdings.
• General duties to support smooth operation of the department.
