Job summary

The Pennant Group, Inc. is seeking a Marketing/Business Development professional to help identify and develop referral sources across the health care continuum.

The role involves outreach to physician offices, hospitals, and senior care facilities to present credentials and generate patient referrals. Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience in hospice care preferred; marketing experience required.
  • Social work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze potential of the service area to identify target markets.
  • Visit doctor offices, hospitals, assisted living facilities, SNFs and other referrals sources to present credentials and obtain referrals.
  • Analyze the organization's strengths and weaknesses.
  • Analyze past and current marketing data.
  • Complete an analysis of the company's product line.
  • Analyze patient/company relationships.
  • Develop sales/marketing objectives and projections.
  • Develop a marketing plan with priorities and a timetable.
  • Implement the marketing plan within the timetable.
  • Review and evaluate analyses and plan on a regular basis.
  • Attend IDG meetings as appropriate.
  • Assist office staff with physician visits to obtain signatures and updates.
  • Provide community outreach and education.
  • Performs other tasks as assigned.

Qualifications

Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Licenses/Certification: None. Required Experience: Hospice Care: 1 year (Preferred). Marketing: 1 year (Required). Social Work: 1 year (Preferred).

Essential Functions
  • Analyze the potential of the company's service area to determine target markets.
  • Visit's Doctor offices, hospitals, Assisted Living facilities, Skilled Nursing Facilities, and other possible sources of referrals to present Agency credentials and obtain patient referrals.
  • Analyze the company's organization to determine its strengths and weaknesses.
  • Analyze past and current marketing data.
  • Complete an analysis of the company's 'product' line.
  • Analyze patient/company relationships.
  • Develop sales/marketing objectives and sales projections.
  • Develop a marketing plan, identifying priorities and sets a reasonable timetable.
  • Implement marketing plan staying within established timetable.
  • Review and evaluate the analyses and plan on an established basis.
  • Attend IDG meetings, as appropriate.
  • Assist office staff as needed with going to Physician's offices to obtain signatures, drop off IDG updates, etc.
  • Provide community outreach and education.
Other Functions

Performs other tasks as assigned.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
  • Must be a licensed driver with an insured automobile in good working order.
  • Must be organized and detail oriented.
  • Ability to communicate well, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to proficiently multi-task.
  • Ability to access patients' homes which may not be routinely wheelchair accessible is required.
  • Physical activities will include, walking sitting, stooping, and standing.
