AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL is currently hiring a Community Liaison in our Marketing-Business Development Department. The Community Liaison directly serves as the liaison between the facility, the community, and referring agencies. The Community Liaison is responsible for creating demand for the facility’s services through ethical marketing principles and sales methods. In collaboration with the Director of Business Development and the Business Development Team, the Community Liaison presents a positive and professional public image of the facility within the community.
The Community Liaison is responsible for implementing the facility’s strategic sales plan, enhancing the facility’s brand/image, managing their assigned territory and accounts effectively, and working to achieve departmental and facility business development goals. The Community Liaison must demonstrate tact, resourcefulness, patience, and dedication in a fast-paced environment.
AUSTIN OAKS HOSPITAL provides acute inpatient psychiatric services for Adults, Adolescents, and Children. The hospital is located in South Austin and offers competitive wages, paid time off, extended leave, 401(k), cafeteria, and on-site parking.
Education: Bachelor's Degree in a behavioral health area, marketing, business administration, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Experience: Prior marketing and/or sales experience within a behavioral healthcare setting preferred. A minimum of three years of documented experience in referral development, account management, sales growth, and physician relationships is preferred. A valid Driver’s License is required.
Skills: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, set priorities, and develop creative marketing ideas. Travel to referral sources and healthcare institutions is required.
Physical Requirements: Irregular and long hours may be required occasionally. Exposure to patients and their conditions. Extensive travel. Ability to lift and load twenty (20) pound boxes containing brochures and literature, and fifty (50) pound display boards, etc.
