Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in course of study related to occupational field with one year of related experience required, or equivalent education and experience.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• One year of supervisory experience preferred.
• Must be certified in First Aid/CPR or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Ability to develop and administer policies, procedures, and programs for the department.
• Knowledge of safety, security, and compliance in program operations.

Responsibilities

• Plans, develops, conducts and evaluates programs, events, activities, camps and/or tournaments.
• Supervises and trains staff; makes hiring recommendations and evaluates employees, volunteers, and interns.
• Oversees program instructors and handles contract agreements.
• Prepares objectives and action plans; evaluates and adjusts programs; maintains records.
• Addresses needs of program participants with disabilities and seeks higher-level assistance.
• Coordinates volunteer needs and recruitment.
• Creates publicity and promotional materials; manages website maintenance.
• Schedules and reserves facilities; ensures safety/inspections.
• Responds to citizen inquiries and complaints.
• Performs other related duties.
