Dismas Charities, Inc. is seeking a dedicated kitchen associate to prepare meals and supplements for residents in a community-based setting.

The role emphasizes menu adherence, inventory control, and collaboration with leadership to ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance. The position is full-time, on-site, with shifts across mornings, afternoons and nights, and requires flexibility to cover weekends and holidays as needed.

Qualifications

• Two years of paid food service experience with administrative duties such as food ordering, budget management, inspection planning and compliance.

Responsabilités

• Prepares meals and supplements for facility residents; ensures all aspects of the food service operation comply with applicable regulations and the approved menu schedule.
• Assists Director in planning and implementing menus and posts advanced notification of substitutions.
• Manages inventory and ordering of food and prep equipment; networks with local food banks and community resources.
• Maintains sanitary and safety standards and cleanliness of kitchen, serving and prep areas.
• Maintains required written records regarding the food service operation.
• Follows procedures and policies including emergency drills and life safety.
• Works the hours necessary to staff the center and attends required appointments/meetings on site.
