Job summary

Lutheran Social Service of Minnesota is seeking a flexible, community‑minded meals assistant to support congregate and home‑delivered meal programs. The role covers meal preparation, serving, cleanup, and safe transport of meals, with additional duties in dishwashing, sanitizing work areas, and cleaning equipment.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently, follow directions, and perform tasks accurately.
• Effective communication with others.
• Ability to read and follow verbal directions.
• Represent the organization professionally through dress and hygiene.
• Engage with diners to promote a welcoming atmosphere.
• Driver's license preferred; background check required; MVR may be needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation, serving, cleanup, and transportation of meals.
• Support congregate and home-delivered meals, youth, and school meals as needed.
• Assist with food preparation, dishwashing, sanitizing work areas, and cleaning equipment.
• Transport meals when necessary.
