Qualifications

• Experience in dining services
• Serv-Safe certified or willing to complete within 60 days
• Basic understanding of food service operations
• Ability to read, write, and perform simple calculations
• Fast learner and able to follow oral and written directions
• Experience in food preparation, cooking and estimating quantities
• Knowledge of sanitation and safety practices
• Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 50 lbs

Responsibilities

• Prepare and present menu items according to standard recipes
• Maintain a clean, orderly workstation and follow cleaning routines
• Supervise dietary staff when Dining Services Director is unavailable
• Monitor temperatures and ensure proper dating and storage of food
• Assist in training dietary staff and participate in in-services
