Job summary

La Crosse County is seeking a dedicated office/clerical support role within the Justice Support Services Section of the Human Services Department. The position involves resource navigation, monitoring, and providing exceptional customer service to participants and stakeholders.

Preferred candidates bring lived experience with the justice system or related community services, and flexibility to work variable hours including evenings or weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited high school or GED.
• Experience in an office setting or customer service position with attention to detail and follow-up skills.
• Experience with computer databases, web-based programs and other office software.

Responsibilities

• Maintains frequent contact with participants and communicates with courts, law enforcement, community agencies, family members, and the public.
• Provides customer service through phone, walk-in, mail, and electronic communication, gathering information and directing individuals to services or staff.
• Assists participants in accessing supportive services such as financial resources, housing, transportation, and court navigation.
• Gathers, organizes, and reports data; maintains case records and progress notes; tracks participants and program activities.
