Chimes, a not-for-profit serving individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges, seeks a person to generate community employment leads and support job placements in the Milford Mill area. The role requires flexible shifts, driving, and the ability to work with clients and employers to secure meaningful employment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience with persons with intellectual disabilities a plus.

Responsabilités

• Generate community employment leads through cold calls, networking and web sites.
• Document all job and contact leads on appropriate forms.
• Meet established quotas, including community job placements.
• Develop and secure employment opportunities for people in Vocational Services.
• Provide training on interviewing techniques and resumes.
• Accompany clients to job interviews.
• Conduct job analysis to understand employer expectations.
• Educate client/family about employment and social security implications.
• Assist with job applications and related paperwork.
• Provide skill training and job coaching on employer premises in the community.
• Maintain CESP and ACRE certifications.
• Provide ongoing job coaching and follow-up support.
• Complete data collection for each client.
• Provide mobility training for assigned clients.
• Represent the agency with employers and the public.
• Perform other duties as needed.
