Job summary

Chimes is actively seeking Direct Support Professionals in Milford Mill, MD. Earn $19.75–$20.25 per hour as you empower individuals with intellectual and behavioral challenges to live with dignity, independence, and confidence in a supportive team setting.

The role involves hands-on care, following individualized plans, administering medications, and promoting community engagement. A high school diploma or GED is required; driving license and ability to lift 50+ lbs are also needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Experience in disability services preferred (not required—we train!).
• Ability to lift, push, or pull 50+ lbs.
• Valid U.S. driver’s license with acceptable driving history.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support with kindness and respect.
• Assist with personal care including dressing, toileting, hygiene, feeding, bathing and daily living skills.
• Follow individualized care plans and document progress.
• Administer medications in accordance with policy.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and supportive environment.
• Use approved behavior support techniques.
• Encourage community engagement and participation.
• Some DSP roles will require travel between Residential and Day programs.
