Job summary

The Chimes, Inc. seeks an Employment Coordinator for Liberty Club West (Finance) to drive community employment opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental challenges.

You will lead outreach, manage client resumes, prepare interview coaching, and build strong relationships with local employers to secure meaningful placements. Join our mission-driven team and contribute to person-centered supports, data collection, and ongoing job coaching.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience working with persons with intellectual disabilities a plus.
• Ability to lift 20 lbs.
• Must have an acceptable driving record as determined by criteria established by the Agency insurance carrier.

Responsibilities

• Generate community employment leads through cold calls, networking and web sites.
• Document all job and contact leads on appropriate forms.
• Consistently meet established quotas, including job placements.
• Develop and secure employment opportunities for people in Vocational Services.
• Provide training on interviewing techniques and resume preparation.
• Accompany clients on job interviews.
• Complete job analyses to understand employer expectations.
• Submit contract bids for employment services as needed.
• Educate clients and families about employment and Social Security benefits.
• Assist clients with completing job applications and related paperwork.
• Provide skill training and job coaching on employer premises.
• Maintain CESP and ACRE certifications.
• Provide ongoing job coaching and follow-up.
• Complete data collection for each individual assigned.
• Provide mobility training for clients.
• Represent the agency with employers and the public.
• Perform additional duties as needed.
