The Arc Lexington is hiring an Employment Specialist-Job Coach to support individuals in competitive employment in the community. You will visit worksites, provide on-site support, and help clients build job skills over time.

You will learn the specific duties of the person you support and assist them to achieve proficiency and job stability through ongoing coaching and encouragement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Supervisory and human service experience preferred.
• Grounds maintenance, housekeeping or janitorial work experience preferred.
• Ability to work flexible hours is required.
• A valid NYS driver's license that meets agency standards is required.

Responsibilities

• Support people working in the community in competitive employment.
• Assist clients to maintain a job through on-site visits and workplace supports.
• Learn the job duties of the person supported and help build proficiency over time.
