Job summary

The Arc Jefferson - St. Lawrence is seeking a dedicated Job Coach to support individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities in achieving competitive employment. You will provide coaching, assessments, and training to help clients reach their vocational goals, working with a multidisciplinary team.

Hours include evenings and weekends, with up to 40 hours per week. You will document progress, coordinate with therapists and counselors, and maintain schedules and records to ensure

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalency required; at least 1 year experience with people with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities.
• Valid New York State Driver’s License.
• Authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Provide job coaching services, including screening assessment and on-site training.
• Use intervention techniques such as task analysis and reasonable accommodations.
• Ensure the individual can complete job components satisfactorily.
• Coordinate with Employment Specialist and Vocational Counselor to follow individual plans.
• Prepare daily activity documentation and maintain weekly records for accountability.
• Record progress on monthly forms and complete required screening/assessment forms.
• Interact with employers and team to address job performance issues and needs.
• Attend meetings with the Career Opportunities team and initiate additional meetings when needed.
• Maintain schedules in Outlook and keep a daily tracker up to date.
• Manage timesheet entries across contract transfers (OPWDD, ACCES-VR, OMH).
