Job summary

VOLIES is seeking a full-time Community Engagement Project Coordinator to support corporate volunteering and local community initiatives in Northern Virginia. You will coordinate events with a multinational client and local partners, ensuring engagement and impact across venues.

Role offers a flexible schedule focused on deliverables, with occasional travel across the US and evening/weekend events. Strong communication and relationship-building are essential to succeed in this hybrid,

Qualifications

• 3+ years in volunteerism, community engagement, social impact roles or event management.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related field.
• Proven ability to coordinate and manage multiple events with stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in a multicultural, international team.
• Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the US.

Responsibilities

• Act as the main local contact for in-person volunteer and community events in North Virginia and surrounding areas.
• Coordinate delivery of events and workshops, driving employee participation.
• Develop relationships with external vendors, community partners, nonprofits, and corporate volunteers.
• Plan and implement community programs aligned with client objectives.
• Promote involvement via newsletters, social media, blogs, and internal emails.
• Assist with planning and admin tasks for events and volunteering activities.
• Measure and report on program outcomes and social impact.
• Occasional travel to other US cities for team offsites may be required.
• Work evenings/weekends for events as needed and compensated on weekdays.
