Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Community Engagement intern to help design and implement strategies that engage community members, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach initiatives. This role supports planning events, creating content, and responding to inquiries to foster social impact.

The internship is full-time, in-person in Dallas, TX or Austin, TX or Los Angeles, CA or Phoenix, AZ, with an hourly rate of $30.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field. You must have completed the second year of your undergraduate studies.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for community building and social impact.
• Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups).
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Creative thinker who brings enthusiasm and initiative.
• Must be able to travel frequently throughout Dallas, Texas, Austin, Texas, Los Angeles, California OR Phoenix, Arizona. Requires transportation (not company provided) and the ability to independently travel to operational sites, events, communities, and partner locations as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and virtual meetups.
• Support the development of content for newsletters, social media, and other communication channels.
• Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms.
• Conduct research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies.
• Help track engagement metrics and compile reports on community feedback and outcomes.
• Provide general administrative support to the community engagement team.
