Job summary

Zipline is seeking a Community Engagement Intern to help design and implement strategies that engage local communities, strengthen partnerships, and support outreach initiatives. You will collaborate with the team on events, content creation, and community storytelling.

The role requires travel to Dallas, Austin, Los Angeles, or Phoenix, with housing or relocation considerations offered where applicable. This is a full-time, in-person summer internship for Summer 2027.

Qualifications

• Must be pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field with the second year completed.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Passion for community building and social impact.
• Experience with social media platforms and/or digital tools for community engagement (e.g., Slack, Facebook Groups).
• Detail-oriented and organized, with the ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Creative thinker with initiative.

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, promoting, and executing community events, workshops, and virtual meetups.
• Support development of content for newsletters, social media, and other channels.
• Respond to community inquiries and engage with members across platforms.
• Conduct research on community needs, trends, and engagement strategies.
• Track engagement metrics and compile reports on feedback and outcomes.
• Provide general administrative support to the community engagement team.
