Job summary

Downtown Modesto Partnership seeks an Executive Director to lead organizational strategy, partnerships, and community engagement in Modesto. The role reports to the Board and oversees staff, contracts, and program delivery to advance downtown vitality.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years in nonprofit or association management, strong relationship building, and financial stewardship. Salary ranges from $100,000 to $115,000 with comprehensive benefits and a focus on governance and safety.

Qualifications

• Minimum five to seven years of nonprofit or association management experience.
• Expertise in cultivating partnerships and strategic relationships.
• Proven track record in resource development.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the public face of Downtown Modesto, building partnerships with government agencies, businesses and nonprofits.
• Provide organizational leadership, drive strategic planning, and board engagement.
• Direct implementation of programs ensuring effective delivery of initiatives and compliance with GAAP for nonprofits.
• Oversee finances, risk management, and compliance with federal/state/local regulations.
