Job summary

Sierra Vista Child & Family Services in Modesto, CA seeks a Community Outreach Manager to lead communications, outreach, brand awareness, and partnerships. This role focuses on telling the organization’s story clearly to increase referrals and engage donors, while guiding a small team and coordinating with Program Directors.

The position requires strong communication, systems-building, and follow-through from idea to execution across campaigns and events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
• 5+ years in communications, marketing, PR, community engagement.
• 2+ years supervisory or project leadership experience.
• Ability to build relationships and represent the organization.
• Strong organizational skills with systems and priorities.
• Nonprofit/healthcare/education or human services experience preferred.
• Fundraising, donor engagement, sponsorships, or partnerships experience.
• Experience with digital communications, social media, CRM or donor databases, and events preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop agency resources and conduct formal agency wide trainings.
• Lead staff oversight including time management, coaching, and development.
• Oversee day-to-day operations and staff timesheets.
• Collaborate to develop and expand department services and track metrics.
• Foster healthy work environment and sustainable decision-making.
• Develop annual budget and assist with reports.
• Review contracts and ensure deliverables are met.
• Develop strategies across programs and systems.
