Job summary

Homewise Inc. in Albuquerque seeks a Commercial Loan Officer to own the lending relationship lifecycle—from sourcing deals to credit analysis, presenting to the Loan Review Committee, and managing the portfolio post-close.

You will evaluate business financials, structure loans, and defend credit memos while building trusted partnerships with small business owners, nonprofits, and community developers across New Mexico.

Qualifications

• Identifies borrower needs through dialogue and structures appropriate financing solutions
• Evaluates complex financial information to form sound credit recommendations
• Presents credit memos clearly to committees and defends recommendations
• Builds relationship with community partners and borrowers across New Mexico

Responsibilities

• Sourcing new commercial lending opportunities through prospecting, referrals, partnerships, and existing client relationships
• Conducting consultations and gathering documents to assess program fit
• Performing credit analysis of business and personal financials and assessing collateral
• Structuring loans for purpose, repayment source and risk, and preparing credit memoranda
• Presenting loan recommendations to the Loan Review Committee and applying independent judgment
• Managing commercial loans throughout their term including forbearances and restructures
• Maintaining portfolio data in Salesforce and other systems and preparing reports for investors
• Building relationships with small business owners and community stakeholders across New Mexico
