Urban Pathways, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Worker in New York, NY to perform general facility upkeep and cleaning. The role involves preventive maintenance, basic repairs, safety compliance, and coordinating with different staff to ensure a safe, clean environment.

The position requires a High School Diploma or GED, at least one year of maintenance or janitorial experience, and flexibility to work weekends or evenings as needed. Salary is within the posted range and reflects local standards.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent preferred.
• Minimum of one year of experience in building maintenance and janitorial duties or equivalent.
• Experience with homeless, individuals with mental health conditions and substance abuse population preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains facility cleanliness and order, removing debris and garbage.
• Disposes and recycles garbage per city regulations and internal policies.
• Performs general maintenance including painting, minor electrical/plumbing repairs.
• Monitors safety procedures and uses PPE as required.
• Performs snow removal and winter safety tasks as needed.
• Completes and signs off maintenance work orders and reports issues to supervisor.
