Commonwealth Senior Living at Cedar Bluff in Christiansburg, VA is seeking a dedicated housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents. The role reports to the Maintenance Director and follows all applicable standards.

This full-time position offers a pay range of $14.50–$17.00 per hour and a benefits package including medical, life, disability, a 401(k), PTO, and an employee assistance program. Schedule: Monday–Friday, with every other weekend.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand the English language.
• High school graduate or equivalent credentials preferred.
• Minimum of one year of housekeeping experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform day-to-day housekeeping functions per established procedures.
• Follow safety precautions when performing tasks and using equipment.
• Clean floors, carpets, and furnishings; disinfect bathrooms.
• Collect trash from rooms, offices, lounges, and bathrooms daily.
• Assist in setting up dining rooms, activity rooms, and living rooms as necessary.
• Report repairs to maintenance personnel or Executive Director.
• Keep housekeeping areas and equipment clean and organized; free of hazards.
• Respond to residents’ needs and maintain confidentiality.
• Launder community linens as needed.
• Inform Executive Director or designee of supply needs in a timely manner.
