Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. in Washington state is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the Community interior and residents' apartments in a clean, sanitary, and courteous manner.

Responsibilities include general housekeeping, laundry, and light food-service support as needed. You will greet residents, take orders, serve meals, and ensure proper sanitation and safety procedures are followed.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain Community interior and residents' apartments in a clean and sanitary way.
• General housekeeping: vacuuming, dusting, cleaning entryways, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change linens, turn mattress, and manage linen supplies.
• Deep cleaning of apartments as needed, focus on entry area, carpets, furnishings, windows, and fixtures.
• Launder linens using provided laundry facilities.
• Follow sanitation and safety procedures.
• Greet residents and guests, serve beverages and meals from the cart, review menus and take orders, serve meals and desserts.
• Return cart to kitchen, assist with storage, and deliver trays to rooms if needed.
• Bus and clear tables, reset for next meal, sanitize tables and chairs; perform side work (sugar, creamer, coffeemaker).
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
