Job summary

Atria Senior Living, Inc. is seeking a Housekeeper to maintain the Community interior and residents' apartments in a clean, sanitary, and courteous manner. Responsibilities include general housekeeping, deep cleaning, laundry, and following safety procedures.

The role also covers food service tasks: greeting residents, taking orders, serving meals and desserts, and returning items to the kitchen with proper sanitation. Other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Basic reading, writing, and mathematical skills.
• Communicate effectively in English with employees and residents.
• General knowledge of sanitation and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to retain orders (up to four at one time).
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide general housekeeping for the Community and individual resident apartments.
• Vacuum, dust, and clean main entryway, common areas, dining room, hallways, patios, and apartments.
• Clean and defrost refrigerators, check heat system filters, change bed linens and ensure linen supplies.
• Deep clean apartments as needed, focusing on entry area, carpets, plants, pictures, railings, windows, and light fixtures.
• Launder all linens in the provided laundry facilities.
• Greet residents and guests, serve beverages, cereals, and soups/salads from the cart.
• Review menu, take orders, and serve meals and desserts; return cart to kitchen.
• Deliver trays to resident rooms if needed; store perishables properly.
• Bus and clear dishes; reset tables following sanitation guidelines; vacuum carpets.
• Complete side work: refill sugar, creamers, clean coffeemaker, etc.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
