Job summary

Adelante Healthcare Goodyear is seeking a Community Health Supervisor to support the day-to-day operations of the Community Health Team across Adelante sites and the Medical Mobile Unit.

You will supervise non-clinical staff, collaborate with the Community Health Manager and Nurse Supervisor, ensure quality patient care, compliance with regulations, and engage with community partners to deliver services in a safe environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED from an accredited institution plus advanced training.
• Clinical competency with a background as Medical Assistant, RMA (or equivalent) in good standing.
• Demonstrated understanding of clinical methods and techniques used in record-keeping systems.
• Demonstrated ability in implementing the principles and practices of supervision.
• Advanced computer efficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experience in Patient Management System.
• Meet the organization immunization requirement.
• Valid Arizona driver’s license.
• Minimum three (3) years of experience in a clinical setting.
• Certification to perform CPR and AED per AHA/Red Cross guidelines.
• Valid Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card from AZ DPS for behavioral health locations.
• Ability to solve problems using a logical, systematic approach.
• Demonstrated management, leadership, diplomacy, and customer service skills.
• Experience in applying continuous quality improvement techniques in care delivery.
• Proven ability with productive time management; fulfilling commitments.
• Experience with health IT and EHR systems.
• Ability to promote teamwork and measure departmental cost performance.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English).

Responsibilities

• Monitor and evaluate staff performance for quality purposes and maintain appropriate documentation.
• Maintain accurate time and attendance records.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws (FMLA, Workers Comp, ADA).
• Recruit, interview, orient, train, and mentor staff.
• Organize staff’s daily work activities and schedules to meet staffing needs.
• Identify financial status of patients and refer to Eligibility as needed.
• Conduct monthly staff meetings with agendas and minutes.
• Oversee scheduling, billing, and scanning of records.
• Monitor appointments and patient flow to improve productivity.
• Treat patients and visitors courteously; resolve complaints.
• Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Anticipate needs and propose solutions; initiate coaching.
• Support quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Assist in implementing organizational goals, policies, and systems.
• Monitor community health expenditures and inventory.
