Job summary

Louisville Metro Government seeks a professional to plan and coordinate community health programs, providing technical assistance, education, and instruction to staff and the community. The role works under general supervision, developing methods and sequences independently.

The position involves budget assistance, quality assurance, data collection, and cross-site coordination, including non-Metro locations, with responsibility for reporting and program improvements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or public administration, education or related discipline.
• Two (2) years of nursing, primary care, community or public health, health education, or social service experience.
• Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

Responsibilities

• Assists in budget preparation and monitors and controls expenditures.
• Participates in quality assurance activities.
• Develops and maintains a data collection system to monitor and report program progress toward achievement of project goals and objectives.
• Monitors service provider performance for compliance with program standards.
• Evaluates service provider programs for effectiveness, and recommends improvements to enhance efficiency, services and performance.
• Conducts training sessions, lectures and seminars on health-related issues.
• Attends meetings to discuss and provide information on goals, needs and services with health and human service providers, community organizations, and advisory councils.
• Provides program support and coordination across multiple locations, including non-Metro sites.
• Completes special projects and prepares reports.
• Performs related work as assigned.
