Job summary

Louisville Metro Government is seeking a Public Health Administrator to direct community health service programs and projects for a major division. The role works independently with limited supervision and reports major activities through meetings.

The position oversees staff, budgets, and program evaluation, collaborates with partners, and develops initiatives to address health issues, including grant management and regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Public Health, Community Health, Health Administration, Public Policy, Public Administration, or related discipline.
• Three (3) years of community or public health experience, including one (1) year of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

• Directs, plans, and coordinates community health service programs and projects.
• supervises staff, manages budgets, and prepares comprehensive reports.
• Represents the department to the public and coordinates with partners.
• Develops initiatives to address health issues and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Prepares and submits grant applications for federal and state funding.
• Develops policies to comply with laws and professional standards.
