Job summary

Multicultural AIDS Coalition in Boston seeks a Community Health Coordinator to provide client‑centered counseling and testing for HIV, STI, and HCV, connect people to care, and build partnerships across the community. The role may supervise part‑time staff and volunteers while ensuring accurate records.

You will engage with diverse communities, attend events, and help plan outreach efforts to reduce health disparities in Boston.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s in social services is a plus.
• Experience in community outreach, health education, counseling, testing, navigation, or direct services.
• Knowledge of HIV, STIs, hepatitis C, sexual health, harm reduction, and health disparities.

Responsibilities

• Provide confidential pre‑test and post‑test counseling, screening, testing, and risk‑reduction support.
• Offer testing at MAC and in community settings including partner sites, health fairs, and events.
• Link clients to medical care, PrEP/PEP, behavioral health, substance use services, and other supports.
• Enter testing, outreach, and referral data accurately and maintain client records.
• Plan and staff outreach events and represent MAC at meetings and community initiatives.
