Job summary

Indiana University Bloomington seeks a Healthy Hoosier Communities Liaison to connect IU with statewide rural communities, aligning health-related needs with university resources and expertise. The role coordinates project activities, tracks outcomes, and ensures partner expectations are met with independence.

The CRL advances CRE's mission by fostering trust, delivering projects, and enhancing IU's engagement impact across Indiana. Travel within the state is required as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in related field.
• 2 years of experience in outreach, engagement, public relations, or related field.
• Proficient communication skills.
• Maintains a high degree of professionalism.
• Demonstrates time management and priority setting skills.

Responsibilities

• Communicates frequently with community leaders and project leads to ensure needs are heard and met by CRE initiatives.
• Facilitates community information sessions and health fairs.
• Leads Sustaining Hoosier Communities health-related projects and supervises up to 3 Rural Scholars.
• Generates scopes of work and communicates plans to faculty, leaders, and CRE team; follows up on issues.
• Reports to the Director of Student Engagement.
• Builds relationships with community partners and IU units to strengthen campus-community partnerships.
• Collaborates to develop scopes of work, support SHC, and share successes with communications staff.
