National Center for Urban Solutions seeks a Community Health Advocate to work directly in Houston communities, identifying eligible participants for a health study and guiding them through enrollment. You will partner with local clinics and organizations, providing culturally sensitive education and addressing barriers to participation.

Occasional weekends and evenings may be required to reach community members and ensure diverse and equitable enrollment in the study.

Qualifications

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and cultural competency skills.
• Experience with diverse community populations or in community outreach.
• Ability to build trust and rapport quickly in community settings.
• Bilingual skills are a plus.

Responsabilités

• Actively engage with community members to inform eligibility for the study and assess suitability.
• Build trusted relationships with clinics, organizations, and local leaders to support outreach.
• Assist enrollment, scheduling, and follow-up communications with participants.
• Provide ongoing support to address barriers such as transportation or language.
