Job summary

ChristianaCare seeks a Community Educator to lead health education and outreach for pregnant families and children under four. You will connect people to community resources, promote preventive care, and support health equity across Delaware communities.

Based in Kent or Sussex County, this grant-funded role requires strong public speaking, facilitation, and writing skills, with bilingual abilities (Spanish or Haitian Creole) preferred. A valid driver's license and vehicle are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred in Public Health, Social Work, Health Education, or related field.
• Minimum of 1 year of community outreach, healthcare support, or related experience required.
• Bilingual language preferred (Spanish or Haitian Creole).

Responsibilities

• Promote health through education and outreach in 1:1 and group settings.
• Connect individuals to community, social service, and healthcare resources.
• Document education and outreach activities in data systems.
• Build relationships with diverse communities and community organizations.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to policies and safety rules.
