Job summary

ChristianaCare’s Holloway Community Program seeks a Community Educator to promote HIV prevention education and support education and engagement initiatives across Delaware. The role involves collaborating with healthcare professionals, community organizations, and academic partners to assess needs and deliver culturally responsive programs.

The position requires at least a high school diploma with a preference for a bachelor’s degree, and experience in community engagement or patient experience.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
• Strong public speaking, group facilitation, and written communication skills are required.
• Bilingual or multilingual communication skills based on program and community needs.

Responsibilities

• Develop, coordinate, and deliver culturally responsive, evidence-informed health education and training focused on HIV prevention, testing, linkage to care, treatment, retention in care, PrEP, PEP, health equity, and available community resources.
• Support Holloway Community Program and MA AETC by implementing grant-funded workplans, meeting program deliverables, and advancing workforce education and community engagement initiatives.
• Engage stakeholders, develop and maintain curricula and training materials, coordinate educational events, and facilitate interactive learning experiences for healthcare professionals, community organizations, and ChristianaCare care teams.
• Collect, validate, and report program data, training participation, evaluation outcomes, and progress toward grant deliverables.
