Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Health is seeking a Community Education Specialist to promote health and wellness by planning, developing, and delivering education programs for patients, families, and community groups.

The role collaborates with external educators, coordinates health fairs, produces educational materials, and maintains documentation to meet regulatory requirements; requires a Bachelor's degree or 4 years of experience and 2 years of related experience.

• Bachelor's degree or 4 years of work experience above the minimum qualification.
• 2 Years of Experience.

Responsibilities

• Networks with team members and organizations to provide health and wellness information.
• Plans, develops, and conducts educational programs for patients or the community.
• Coordinates with external educators to develop educational materials and with Public Affairs for press releases and other public activities.
• Schedules and attends health and safety fairs and displays exhibits at professional conferences.
• Produces and distributes quarterly public and professional education newsletters.
• Participates in committees and works with businesses to develop and promote programs.
