Job summary

Better and Beyond Family Care LLC is seeking a Health Educator to join our team. You will educate students and the community on vital health needs, create lesson plans, activities, and community events to promote health and safety, and provide counseling and referrals.

The ideal candidate communicates effectively, has teaching experience, and understands the health issues facing the community today. This role emphasizes engaging education and public health outreach.

Qualifications

• State teaching certification that can train for classes for certified CNA or STNA.
• Strong understanding of health-related issues that the community is facing.
• Strong computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Office suite, Adobe, and social media.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Create engaging lesson plans, activities, and events to help individuals and families within the community maintain a healthy, active lifestyle
• Use data from a variety of sources to best inform your lesson plans and policies
• Prepare appropriate documents and educational materials to distribute to your classroom and the community as a whole
• Counsel students and community members on pressing issues
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal guidelines in regards to health education for 80 hours a class
