Job summary

Central Jersey Medical Center in New Jersey is seeking a General Dentist to join its Healthcare team under the leadership of the Chief Dental Officer. The role focuses on delivering comprehensive, quality dental care to the community.

You will examine patients, diagnose oral conditions, plan treatment, document records, educate on oral health, and collaborate with staff and committees. A NJ dental license, CPR/BLS, and DEA registrations are required; Spanish fluency is preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited dental school.
• Completion of an accredited general practice residency preferred.
• Ability to be clinically fluent in Spanish preferred.
• Knowledge of public health principles and practices preferred.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills required.
• Ability to maintain clinical privileges required, hospital privileges preferred.
• FTCA coverage or private professional malpractice insurance obtainable.
• Licensure and Credentials.
• Unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the State of New Jersey.
• Current CPR(BLS) certifications. ACLS preferred.
• New Jersey CDS and DEA registrations
• Medicare and Medicaid provider numbers.

Responsibilities

• Examines individuals, diagnoses dental conditions, prescribes or directs treatment.
• Records dental transactions in patient records and completes referrals.
• Educates individuals on oral health and disease prevention.
• Serves on the dental staff and center committees.
• Prepares reports for the Chief Dental Officer.
• Provides continuing education and staff training.
• Designs and implements Dental Department policies and procedures.
• Assists in community health education as requested.
• Participates in planning for the Dental Department and agency.
• Provides consultation to the CEO and Board when needed.
• Travels to fulfill the Medical Center’s needs.
• Coordinates dental programs with other center services.
• Ensures compliance with applicable regulations and safety.
• Performs other related duties to achieve goals.
