Job summary

Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation in Alaska seeks a Community Health Aide Trainee to deliver primary care in village clinics and participate in ongoing training. You will travel to Bethel and other training sites, respond to emergencies, and support preventative and chronic care programs.

The role requires residency in the village or willingness to relocate, English communication, and proficiency with Word, RPMS, and Telehealth within 3 months of hire.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must communicate in English and possibly the village language.
• Able to travel to Bethel or training sites for sessions.
• Willing to provide year-round coverage including summers.

Responsibilities

• Provide primary acute, chronic, preventive and emergency care at village clinic.
• Participate in trainings and adhere to CHAP policies.
• Provide itinerant coverage to YKHC villages as assigned.
